Butterflies

We spent Memorial Day morning at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Jacob is very intrested in bugs these days, so we decided to visit the butterfly exhibit. I'm glad I brought my camera, becuase it's amazing how well butterflies photograph!

The Beginning

So here it is....the beginning of my photographic journey. I inherited my Nikon D80 along with some old lenses, numerous filters, and a speedlight. I had no idea what to do with all this camera, so I started taking a few starter classes with my friend, Stephanie. Between the classes and a fanatasic book, Understanding Exposure, I gained the confidence to turn that dial to Manual Mode and get out there and start photographing. Starting from this point forward I hope to see my photographs and skills get better and better.
